Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) – Urgent Care | Boone, NC

Join our dedicated urgent care team in Boone, North Carolina! We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and collect thorough patient histories, including medications and allergies.
Provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, ensuring accurate documentation and timely progress notes.
Administer and oversee minor urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care, etc.).
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to deliver team-based care.
Counsel patients, provide referrals when necessary, and support continuity of care.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in urgent care procedures and medical terminology.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to follow clinical protocols while maintaining flexibility in a busy environment.
Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to all licensure requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited PA or Family Nurse Practitioner program.
Active and unrestricted North Carolina NP or PA license .
Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred.
Valid NC driver’s license and proficiency with EMR systems.
