Job Description

Description Amazon seeks a Senior Program Manager to drive new initiatives and program launches for the North America Last Mile Delivery Central Operations Team. The Senior Program Manager will be a key member of strategic initiatives that will continue to improve last-mile processes to scale for rapidly increasing volume and complexity and support our delivery station leaders / operators and delivery service partners (DSPs). The role would help the organization solve last mile problems in speed, cost, productivity or quality particularly for DSP or DPs. *This role requires travel up to 10% of the quarter. Key job responsibilities - Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery. - Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams. - Set clear objectives for programs, leveraging data analytics to drive improvements and achieve metrics. - Navigate and resolve ambiguities in business scenarios, applying creative problem-solving skills. - Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize resource allocation and project success. - Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with customer needs and technical team inputs. - Bridge gaps in team dynamics, processes, and systems, preventing common project pitfalls. - Identify and mitigate risks, preventing them from escalating into major issues. - Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives. - Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance. - Manage and communicate project budgets effectively. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Bachelor's degree, or Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) Preferred Qualifications - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
