As a Security Officer - Residential Site - Full Time in North Myrtle Beach, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for residents and guests. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the property to help to deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to inquiries and assisting residents. This position offers the opportunity to utilize your customer service skills and comfort with technology, such as computers or tablets, as you manage access control systems. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the residential location.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for the community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activity as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to residents and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
