As a Security Officer Desk Access Control in MIDLAND, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial and more .

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors and employees. Your primary responsibilities will include managing access control, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible and approachable presence. You will be the first point of contact, assisting with inquiries and responding to security-related situations as they arise. This position requires a high level of professionalism and communication, as you will interact with a diverse group of individuals throughout your shift. As this is a driving post, a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify identification, and assist with visitor management processes.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities and any security-related incidents.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required, including communicating with appropriate personnel and following emergency procedures.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to address inquiries or concerns related to access and security-related matters.
• Support Allied Universal and client management in maintaining a secure environment at the location by being attentive to unusual activity and reporting observations.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
