POSITION SUMMARY:
The IV/PICC Nurse is a Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing patients individualized IV access needs, developing a specific plan related to IV Therapy needs and implementing and evaluating an individualized plan for each patient.

Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma Program
Experience:
2 years clinical nursing experience - Required
Vascular Access experience - Highly Preferred
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required through American Heart Association (AHA) by the completion of hospital orientation
Licenses: State of Kentucky or Multi-State Registered Nurse License-Required
*New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. If an RN license is not earned within 6 months of employment, the provisional licensee must immediately cease practicing in a licensed nursing position.
