Regional Compliance Officer

Summary

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the subsidiaries operates in accordance with the Group's compliance governance rules and regulations. This role involves monitoring and evaluating compliance issues, providing guidance to management and staff, and implementing effective compliance programs to mitigate risks. 

Essential Duties

​​​​​​​・Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to the Group's governance rules and regulations and to comply with

local legislations in corporate, commercial, intellectual property, labor, etc.

・Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions

・Training and Education: Provide employees with training on compliance-related topics, including updates on regulatory changes and Group policies.

・Risk Management: Identify and manage regulatory risks, ensuring that internal controls are in place to mitigate these risks. Business Risk is not a scope.

・Reporting: Prepare and submit compliance reports to the parent company's compliance department and regulatory authorities as required.

・Investigation: Investigate compliance issues and ensure appropriate disciplinary measures are in place to prevent future occurrences.

・Collaboration: Work closely with the parent company's compliance team to ensure alignment with Group-wide compliance strategies and initiatives, serving as one of the secretariats for

the parent company's Group Compliance committee.

・Documentation: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible.​​​​​​​

Qualifications

・Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.

・Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably within a multinational corporation.

・Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Those specific to Japan and the industry is a plus.

・Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, especially with deep understanding of Japan Culture. Ability to interpret complex regulations and provide clear

guidance.

・Ethical Standards: High ethical standards and integrity to ensure the subsidiary operates within legal and ethical boundaries.

・Certification: Attorney's license or Professional certifications in compliance is a plus.
