Production Manager

Job Title: Production Manager- Night Shift, Food Manufacturing 

Location: Far Rockaway, NY on-site

Salary Range: $70k-$85k Depending on experience

Requirements: BS in Food Science, Engineering, Business Management or related field preferred, 5yrs experience in Production Management within the Food Manufacturing Industry, 

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee our night shift operations in our food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high quality standards, and leading a team to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the night shift production operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and monitor production processes to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures throughout the production process.
• Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain management to ensure availability of materials.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules and meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED (Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred)
• 5+ years work experience in production management within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
• Experience with inventory management and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and production management software.
