Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Nurse Educator

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206

Job Type: Full-Time | 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)

Start Date: October 6, 2025

Duration: 13 weeks

Position Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Registered Nurse – Nurse Educator to join our team. The Nurse Educator will support clinical staff development through education, mentorship, and ongoing professional training. This role requires strong clinical expertise, especially in Labor & Delivery and Medical/Surgical nursing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide education, training, and competency assessments for nursing staff.
  • Develop and implement orientation and continuing education programs.
  • Evaluate clinical competencies and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing personnel to enhance clinical performance.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify learning needs and improve care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate educational records and ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience .
  • Two (2) years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
  • Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership abilities.

Education:

  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Required:
  • Active New York State RN License .
  • Primary Source Verification of license and registration from the NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred:
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP) are a plus.
