Job Description

ISF Quality Engineer, General Dynamics Mission Systems Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience may also be considered. Clearance Requirements Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable time frame. Applicants must undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of work performed. Responsibilities for This Position General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer to support advanced defense and intelligence systems. The role involves working closely with customers to develop solutions supporting national security missions. Representative Duties and Tasks Develop and review contracts, documents, drawings, and instructions to ensure compliance with customer, program, and company requirements. Understand requirements thoroughly to ensure proper flow-down and adherence. Collect, organize, and analyze data to identify trends and recommend actions. Plan and conduct audits to verify compliance. Support metrics, reporting, and root cause investigations. Assist in developing and verifying corrective and preventive actions. Prepare inputs and participate in technical and customer reviews. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, and Program Management teams. Monitor test activities and interface with customer representatives and suppliers. Travel may be required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering methodologies, tools, and standards. Creative and strategic thinking abilities. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate issues effectively and drive corrective actions. Strong problem recognition and reporting skills. Experience in reviewing documents, drawings, and instructions for compliance. Ability to report quality activities and issues clearly and effectively. Preferred Degree Types and Experience Experience with auditing processes. Experience implementing government requirements.
