Comfort Inn of Shelby is hiring Full-Time Maintenance Technicians to join our team in a Monday-Friday position with weekend and on-call hours available. Many of our Front Desk and Guest Services staff began their careers in the maintenance department, and our goal is for everyone who works at Comfort Inn Shelby to be with us for the long haul.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Complete preventative maintenance for all guest rooms and public spaces according to the outlined timetable/schedule
  
• Respond to maintenance requests made by both the guests of the hotel and fellow hotel team members when necessary
  
• Maintain the grounds, landscaping, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner
  
• Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, carpet cleaning, and other jobs as necessary.
  
• Maintain all storage areas, shops, vending, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, and secure manner
  
• Other responsibilities will include inspections of the hotel's systems, guest room and hotel grounds upkeep, adherence to Brand Standards pertaining to the condition of the property, maintaining inventory, and condition of tools and materials, etc.

Requirements

Successful Candidates Must Have :

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• At least 1-2 years of general maintenance experience
  
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  
• Specific experience with the following: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Paint/Wallpaper, and Pool maintenance
  
• Ability to work on your own while staying on task and completing required workloads
  
• Possess great organizational skills
  
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  
• Ability to occasionally work weekends, holidays, and on-call hours
