TRC Talent is looking for a Forklift Operator for our client in Kennesaw, GA
Job Details:
- Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
- Temp to Hire
- $17-18/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation:
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Safely stack and unstack pallets, boxes, and other materials as required.
- Perform regular equipment checks and maintenance to ensure forklift is in good working condition.
Material Handling:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper inventory rotation and organization.
- Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory counts as needed.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer requirements.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, palletizing, and wrapping.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely deliveries.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety and housekeeping protocols.
- Dispose of waste materials and recycle where appropriate.
- Assist in general warehouse duties such as sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage areas.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Complete necessary documentation for inventory movements, shipments, and receipts.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Utilize warehouse management software to update inventory records and track shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably with a sit-down forklift.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Standing, walking, and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
