Digital Forensic Consultant - West Coast - $80,000 to $100,000 This position is a contract role for 4-6 months with the potential to become permanent. Rate: $60 per hour, up to $100,000 annually upon permanent placement. We are seeking an experienced Digital Forensic Specialist to join a boutique consultancy, handling complex forensic cases for clients nationwide, with a focus on California. The role involves leading forensic collections and data management. Responsibilities: Manage forensic cases end-to-end, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Perform remote and on-site data collections accurately and efficiently. Lead and mentor forensic investigation teams. Maintain strict policy standards in the forensic lab environment. Develop workflows for new data types. Collaborate to troubleshoot forensic challenges. Travel approximately 30% to client sites in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Oregon. Requirements: Experience managing forensic cases and data collection methodologies. Ability to conduct remote and on-site data collections. Willingness to travel within California, especially LA. Strong understanding of policy standards in forensic labs. Ability to document and develop workflows for complex data types. Current experience in digital forensics within a vendor or consultancy setting. US Citizenship with at least 5 years of continuous residency (security clearance requirement).
