Job Description

Our law firm is full-service that has served Central Florida’s legal needs for over 40 years, with 40+ attorneys and 11 offices throughout Central Florida. We have an immediate need for a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5 - 7 years of experience for our Orlando office with experience with Construction Law and handling hearings and depositions to join our talented team and build our increasingly busy Commercial Litigation practice.

*Job Description Role and Responsibilities*

* Legal Practice & Client Representation
* Manage all aspects of legal cases, from drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs to representing clients in hearings, trials, and arbitrations.

*Document Management & Supervision*

* Proficiently use *electronic discovery tools.*
* Prepare and revise legal documents, including drafting motions and briefs with minimal supervision.
* Supervise paralegal and legal assistant staff in record keeping and document preparation, ensuring accuracy.

*Performance & Collaboration*

* Meet or exceed performance goals, including a minimum of 1800 billable hours and $300k in receipts.
* Manage project deadlines and budgets.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues to resolve client issues and support projects.
* Adhere to our firm's policies and procedures.
* Negotiate settlements and agreements, providing clear explanations of legal terminology and strategy to clients.
* Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to advise clients and develop solutions for complex legal issues, including identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
* Maintain expert-level understanding of client cases and ensure accurate, up-to-date case files.

*Qualifications and Education Requirements*

* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
* Licensed in Florida.
* Proven experience as a Commercial Litigation Associate, particularly with high-volume practices and large clients.
* Strong knowledge of state laws and regulations related to Commercial Litigation, including: Construction Law, Business Law, Appeals, Civil Litigation, Real Estate Litigation.
* Outstanding negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
* Exceptional client interaction and customer-service orientation.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent planning and reporting skills.
* Superior written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish fluency is a plus).
* Ability to multitask, work well under pressure, and handle high-stress, sensitive situations with a high degree of confidentiality.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Reliable, dependable, and capable of exercising independent judgment while also working collaboratively in a team environment.

* Juris Doctor (J.D) degree from an accredited law school.
* Licensed in Florida
* A minimum of 5-7 years of Associate Litigation experience required.
* 5 – 7 Years of experience in Construction Law is helpful.
