Register all guests in and out of the hotel and ensure that proper payment and pertinent information is obtained. Prepare daily cash reports, balance payments and disbursements and balance bank. Assist reservations by accepting and confirming reservations. Other duties as assigned.
Work Area: Office and front desk area located in a high rise hotel or atrium exposed to noise, varied temperatures, bright and dim lighting, dust, fumes, and smoke. Use of elevator and stairs required. Casino environment may be located on a boat and/or floating barge.
Physical Requirements: Sitting 5% Standing 65% Walking 10% Keyboarding 20.
Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or GED equivalent. One year hotel front desk experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge, And Abilities: Must be able to read, write, and understand simple instructions, possess good written and oral communications skills and be able to work on a computer, switchboard and facsimile machine. Have knowledge of the Innkeepers Laws and regulations and OSHA regulations. Must be able to work under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
Guest Relations: Always maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude at all times. Have complete knowledge of all special events and promotional activities.
