About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define and execute a long-term technology roadmap that aligns with business goals, particularly in the healthcare and research sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for staying abreast of industry trends, compliance, and regulatory landscapes, and for evaluating and implementing third-party tools and platforms to enhance organizational efficiency. A key aspect of the role is to architect and scale high-performance, secure, and compliant systems capable of supporting AI-driven development for research purposes. The CTO will also be tasked with building and mentoring engineering, DevOps, and data teams, and ensuring operational excellence through the implementation of agile processes and efficient engineering workflows. Applicants for the CTO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive engineering leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior tech leadership role within data, development, research, or academic-related industries. The role requires a proven track record in leading and scaling engineering teams, as well as expertise in building scalable, distributed systems and modern cloud infrastructure. Strong familiarity with modern development frameworks, CI/CD, microservices, and data architectures is essential. The CTO will also be expected to have a deep understanding of security and compliance, particularly in the context of healthcare and research, and to serve as a trusted technical advisor to the executive team, effectively communicating technical vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
