Join our innovative healthcare team at Marble City Medical in a unique dual role as a Business Operations Manager & Medical Scribe . We are looking for an organized, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a dynamic environments and excels at managing workflows. In this position, you will ensure smooth day-to-day operations by handling patient scheduling and data management while also providing essential support to physicians and Nurse practitioners during patient rounds. This is a perfect opportunity for someone passionate about both healthcare administration and clinical work. Start ASAP. This job is split between Oak Ridge and Knoxville. You will be required to be on site Monday through Friday in Oak Ridge.

 

Key Responsibilities :

- Operations & Administration :
- Oversee patient scheduling.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Manage essential business functions, including credentialing, new hire onboarding, and maintaining operational workflows.
- Coordinate seamlessly with healthcare professionals to ensure an efficient and organized workplace.

- Medical Scribing & Record Management:
- Assist physicians during patient rounds by documenting medical histories, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans in real time.
- Update and manage patient records with detailed information on allergies, medications, and treatment histories.
- Support physicians and nurses in ensuring the accuracy of all medical records. We work in three locations. Hire would need to be in two of the three locations daily alongside the physician.

- Additional Duties:
- Assist in handling any urgent medical record or scheduling situations promptly and efficiently.
- Perform occasional remote tasks such as data verification, and be available for essential communications outside normal working hours.

What You Bring:

- Experience : Ideally, 1 year in a medical setting or related field.
- Skills :
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and strong computer skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining calm in emergencies.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with medical insurance processes is a plus.

- Personal Qualities :
- Professionalism, confidentiality, and a passion for providing quality patient care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and processes.
- Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You must have a personal phone and be reachable as needed.

--Must have your own relaible transportation for all weather.

Education :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in health information technology or medical transcription is a bonus but not required.

Work Schedule & Compensation :

- Full-Time Position :
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility for phone or data tasks outside normal hours.
- Work Environment :
75% on-site, 25% remote work for administrative tasks.
- Salary :
$3,200 per month, paid semi-monthly (on the 1st and 15th). raise at 3 months and one year. 1099 for the first year.
- Benefits : we do not offer benefits, insurance, pto. This is a 1099 contracted position.
