We are seeking a Bookstore Manager to join our team at the Fountain Bookshop! You will be responsible for: managing inventory, assisting with book buying, overseeing and coordinating the activities of the retail sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Research front and back list titles
- Maintain relationships with publishers and reps
- Create PO's
- Manage customer special orders
- Train and evaluate employees
- Resolve escalated customer complaints
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in a management capacity at a bookstore.
- Experience in customer service, especially hand selling
- Understanding of sales trends and seasonal flow of book sales
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
