The Museum’s nationally significant collections include fine and decorative arts and artifacts relating to Cape Ann’s earliest days as a major fishing and shipping port, its mid‑19th century role in the granite industry, and the numerous artists who were attracted to its singular charms of light and sea. Job Overview Reporting to the Chief Curator, the Assistant Librarian/Archivist will work in concert with the Librarian & Archivist in managing the Library & Archives’ vast resources. The Assistant Librarian/Archivist will be tasked with assisting in organizing, inventorying, processing, and digitizing the collections. Other tasks include collection care, photo reference, acquisitions, arrangement, description, and assisting the public.
