Job Summary

We’re looking for a detail-driven, creative Assistant Swimwear Designer to support the Director of Design in our swim department on the Action Sports team. This role is all about helping to bring the seasonal vision to life, supporting with sketching, CADs, color and print development, tech packs, and sample organization. You’ll gain exposure to the full design process while learning how an elevated product gets built for the core swim line. Who You Will Work With

You will report jointly Head of Design, collaborating daily with Product Development and Technical Design teams. You’ll also partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sales, and Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Head of Design to execute the creative vision for mainline swim collections.
  • Develop and update CAD sketches and design information across multiple seasons.
  • Assist in the creation of seasonal color palette, print, and fabric development.
  • Build and assign raw materials in the PLM system for tech pack creation, including trims, prints, color codes, etc.
  • Support the preparation of presentation boards, line sheets, and digital assets for internal reviews and sales meetings.
  • Join fittings and document feedback to align the Design and Technical Design teams.
  • Research trends, materials, and competitive swim brands to keep the team moving forward.
  • Keep design libraries organized, including fabrications, trims, artwork, sketches, etc.
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to prep for photoshoots: tracking samples, assisting with styling, and supporting lifestyle imagery execution.
  • Provide day-to-day design support as needed to keep the process moving.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Design experience in apparel or swim.
  • Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Familiarity with PLM systems to create and maintain tech packs is a plus (training available)
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Eye for color, trend, and print; strong sketching and CAD abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and eager to learn in a team-driven, creative environment.
  • Passionate for swimwear, surf/skate culture, and product innovation.
