Christie’s Appliance, a locally owned and operated business serving Tucson since 1956, is looking for an experienced Appliance Service Repair Technician. The role requires a strong background in diagnosing and repairing a variety of household appliances—such as refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and washing machines—while delivering excellent customer service. Job Summary Join our Tucson team in providing top‑quality appliance repair and service. You’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain accurate service records while ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties / Responsibilities Diagnose and repair a variety of household appliances. Provide excellent customer service to clients. Communicate effectively with clients and team members. Maintain accurate records of repairs and service calls. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest industry trends and technologies. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED, or 1–2 years of related experience. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must pass pre‑employment drug screening, criminal background check, and MVR check. Prior experience in gas, electric, plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair and installation is advantageous; company training is provided. Strong interpersonal skills, dedication to excellence, and high standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Essential/Physical Job Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Responsibility for maintaining a company truck (cleanliness, inventory, service coordination). Must be capable of standing, walking, sitting, using hand dexterity, climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, and kneeling regularly. Ability to work under extreme weather conditions (heat and cold). Ability to hear, see, and communicate, and use necessary equipment to complete tasks. Familiarity with specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used in appliance repair and troubleshooting.
