Design Director, RTW

Position Overview: Client is seeking a highly structured and business-savvy Design Director to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. Reporting directly to the VP of Design, this pivotal role will oversee all Ready-To-Wear apparel functions translating creative visions into actionable plans with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Translate the Vice President’s concepts into actionable design plans and oversee their execution from start to finish.
• Lead and manage the Ready-To-Wear apparel teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
• Delegate assignments effectively to optimize team productivity and workflow.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of design projects.
• Identify and troubleshoot challenges within the design process proactively to keep projects on track.
• Support creative leadership with organizational structure and business strategy integration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in fashion design leadership roles, particularly in Ready-To-Wear
• Proven experience managing creative teams and coordinating between design and executive leadership.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strategic and business-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration and maintain clear channels throughout the design process.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, creative environment while maintaining structure and clarity.
